plasma-widget-kbstate software package provides A plasma widget that shows the state of the modifier keys, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install plasma-widget-kbstate
plasma-widget-kbstate is installed in your system.
Make ensure the plasma-widget-kbstate package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep plasma-widget-kbstate *
You will get with plasma-widget-kbstate package name, version, architecture and description in a table
